Werder's Klaus Filbry elected 2nd Vice-President of FBL. Werder's boss Klaus Filbry has been elected as the 2nd Vice-President of the FBL. The FBL is entering a pivotal phase to create structures for the independent execution and marketing of the league. "Klaus Filbry knows the perspective of the clubs as well as the demands for a professionally managed and economically successful league. This connection is particularly valuable for the upcoming decisions", said FBL President Katharina Kiel. Filbry follows Florian Zeutschler, who has left the board after SGS Essen's relegation. The FBL is entering a pivotal phase: We will create the structures for the independent execution and marketing of the league and will consistently drive the sport and economic development", said Filbry. The newly formed League Association had signed a basic agreement with the DFB in May and is taking charge of many topics. The leadership must negotiate new TV contracts. The FBL is even considering the introduction of Playoffs to make the market more attractive.
