Werder to host Real Madrid in Bremen: 100th anniversary of Weser Stadium

Werder Bremen is hosting Real Madrid in Bremen. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Weser Stadium, SV Werder Bremen is planning a mega-legendary game against the traditional team of Real Madrid.

What's happening?

The game is set to take place during the first international break of the upcoming season. This is scheduled from September 21 to October 6. It is therefore likely that Werder will host the Royals at prime time on Saturday, September 26.

Why is this important for Werder?

The sporting aspect will not be the focus - rather, it will be a spectacular football festival that does justice to the great tradition of the Weser Stadium. This tradition goes back a long way: on October 17, 1926, the arena was opened under the name ABTS-Kampfbahn.
