How the match turned
Augsburg took the lead through Robin Fellhauer in the 18th minute. Calvin Marc Brackelmann made it 0-2 after the break. But Werder fought back. Marco Grüll pulled one back in the 66th minute before Niclas Füllkrug equalised six minutes from time. Grüll then provided the decisive pass for Weiser's winning goal.
With this win, Werder consolidates sixth place in the Bundesliga, now on seven points from four games. The team is in good form with three wins from its last five matches.
