Werder Bremen is reportedly interested in Elias Baum. The Hamburg SV, FC Schalke 04 and FC Augsburg are also looking at the Frankfurt U21 international. According to Bild, the Bundesliga quartet is interested in Elias Baum from Eintracht Frankfurt. For the 20-year-old right-back (contract until 2028), three to five million euros would be needed. Baum played only five Bundesliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt last season. In 2024/25, the defender played on loan for SV Elversberg. This summer, the paths between Baum and SGE may finally part ways. A renewed loan is not an option. The interest on the transfer market seems great. The Hamburg SV sees Baum as a potential reinforcement. With FC Schalke 04, FC Augsburg, and SV Werder Bremen, other Bundesliga clubs are also looking at the Frankfurt U21 international. Eintracht Frankfurt is already facing a major overhaul this summer after a disappointing season. With Adi Hütter, a new (old) coach has already been found. Now, sports director Markus Krösche is focusing on team planning. According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt needs a transfer surplus of around 50 million euros after missing out on international business this summer. A Baum sale could at least bring in a small part of the desired amount.
